Insiders have discovered two innovations in test builds of WhatsApp for Android that will soon become publicly available. The first of them can significantly make life easier for opponents of voice messages, and the second is aimed at users who are used to frequently sharing their statuses in the messenger.
In beta with build number 2.24.7.8, the function of converting incoming voice messages into text was added. It will relieve smartphone owners from the need to listen to such content, which is especially convenient in public places. According to available data, the voice engine built into Android will be used for this, but for the innovation to work, in any case, you will need to download a patch “weighing” 150 MB.
In version 2.24.7.6 for the Android platform, the duration of the video that can be set as a status was also doubled (from 30 to 60 seconds). Currently, this feature is available to a limited number of participants in the beta testing program, but it is expected that it will appear in the release version of the messenger in the near future.
