The PocketBook company presented a new e-reader Era Color, the main feature of which was a color display. The new product also has other interesting features, such as a built-in speaker and full protection against water.
The PocketBook Era Color has a 7-inch screen based on E Ink Kaleido 3 electronic ink, capable of displaying 16 levels of gray and 4096 colors. The reader can change the color temperature of the image depending on the surrounding conditions to display a picture that is comfortable for reading. There is support for automatic screen rotation, and control is implemented using the side physical buttons.
The device is built on a 1.8 GHz quad-core processor with 1 GB of RAM and 32 GB storage. There is support for 25 book and graphic formats, as well as popular audiobook formats. To listen to the latter, there is a built-in speaker and Bluetooth for connecting wireless headphones. It is also worth noting the presence of a voiceover function for text books.
The reader body is protected according to the IPX8 standard, which means complete waterproofness. The manufacturer promises up to one month of battery life, and charging is carried out via the USB Type-C port.
PocketBook Era Color is already on sale at a price of 259 euros.
