The author of the YouTube channel The Tech Chap compared the autonomy of all current flagship smartphones available on the market. Nine top models from different brands took part in the test. The result was unexpected, and the difference between first and last place was a whopping 211 minutes.

The following models were included in the comparison: Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, HONOR Magic 6 Pro, Google Pixel 8 Pro, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, OnePlus 12, ASUS Zenfone 11 Ultra, vivo X100 Pro and OPPO Find X7 Ultra. All smartphones were charged to 100% and brought into the most identical conditions, including the same display brightness.

During testing, the blogger cyclically launched benchmarks, video playback, games, a camera and social networks on smartphones.

Comparison of smartphone autonomy

Smartphones were turned off in the following order:

  1. Pixel 8 Pro – 9 hours 15 minutes;
  2. OPPO Find X7 Ultra – 10 hours 20 minutes;
  3. ASUS Zenfone 11 Ultra — 10 hours 21 minutes;
  4. Xiaomi 14 Ultra – 10 hours 23 minutes;
  5. iPhone 15 Pro Max – 10 hours 31 minutes;
  6. OnePlus 12 – 11 hours exactly;
  7. Galaxy S24 Ultra – 11 hours 5 minutes;
  8. Honor Magic6 Pro – 11 hours 31 minutes;
  9. vivo X100 Pro – 12 hours 46 minutes.

Apparently, the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 processor installed inside the vivo X100 Pro won this test, which allowed the smartphone to work noticeably longer than the others. Notably, six other devices are equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the Pixel 8 Pro has Tensor G3, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max uses the A17 Pro.
