Microsoft has replaced the head responsible for Windows development He became the head of Surface

Microsoft has made personnel changes, uniting the Windows and Surface development divisions under common leadership.

Pawan Davuluri, who was previously responsible only for the Surface line, was appointed to the position of head of both directions.

The decision to consolidate was made after the former head of Windows, Mikhail Parakhin, left his post and moved to the company’s new AI division. Now one person will be responsible for creating both key product lines for Microsoft.

According to head of pilot production Rajesh Jha, this “holistic approach” will allow for better integration of the operating system and hardware, offering users a more harmonious experience with Windows devices.

Davuluri has been with Microsoft for 23 years and has been heavily involved in the development of proprietary Surface chips in the past in collaboration with AMD and Qualcomm.

Now his responsibilities will include issues not only of hardware, but also the development of the Windows OS itself.
