All versions of iPhone 16 will have displays with ultra-thin frames
An insider under the nickname Tech_Reve, citing the Korean publication Sisajournal, said that Apple will use a technology to reduce the thickness of frames called BRS, or Border Reduction Structure, in the entire iPhone 16 series.

BRS will make it possible to reduce the lower frame of the display by “rounding the copper contacts” of the matrix, and as a result, the other three can also be made smaller (it is the lower frame that prevents the thickness of all the others from being reduced while maintaining symmetry). The exact essence of the technology is unknown, but Sisajournal claims that Samsung Display and BOE have already mastered it.
Galaxy Z Fold6 will be presented earlier than expected
The Elec portal reports that the production schedule for components for the Z Fold6 is 2-3 weeks ahead of Samsung ‘s plans last year – the release of the smartphone will also be delayed by approximately the same period. If this information is confirmed, the new product will be presented in mid-summer.
According to the source, a more affordable version of the folding smartphone will also premiere in September or October, which will be released in a limited edition of 200 or 300 thousand copies. One of the differences between the device and the base model will presumably be the lack of support for the S Pen stylus.
HUAWEI, Xiaomi and OPPO are working on new UFCS standard chargers
UFCS is a universal fast charging protocol designed to replace the “zoo” standards of different manufacturers. According to insider DigitalChatStation, HUAWEI is working on such a 140W power supply, while Xiaomi and OPPO are preparing to release 120W solutions.
Chargers appeared in the base of one of the Chinese regulators. From Xiaomi it received the index MDY-16-EV, from HUAWEI – HW-200700CP0, and from OPPO – VCBBOACH. The announcement date and prices of accessories have not been announced.
Microsoft Office 2024 will still receive a version without a subscription
According to the TechSpot portal, a new version of the Microsoft office suite will be introduced this year, distributed on a one-time purchase model. We are talking about the LTSC edition, designed for corporate use. It will work even without a network connection and is expected to cost customers $149 per license. A preview version of the package is expected next month, and a stable version later this year.
A complete list of new office suite features has not been published. It is known that Excel will receive “dozens” of innovations, search and meeting tools in Outlook will become better, and the Publisher application will disappear from the set of programs.
