An unusual accessory called Invisibility Shield 2.0 has appeared on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform. This is a canvas that makes any object placed behind it “transparent”. There are still almost two months left before the end of fundraising, but the device has already raised much more money than its creators planned.
The basis of Invisibility Shield 2.0 is a flexible canvas with a frame and a lens system. With their help, the device concentrates light from the peripheral curved corners onto the entire area of the panel so that the observer sees only the background, and not the object or person behind the screen.
The Invisibility Shield is available in three sizes: 180 x 120 cm, 100 x 70 cm and 30 x 20 cm. According to the developers, the largest version can be assembled in 15 minutes. At the same time, the device is not afraid of moisture and weighs relatively little. The largest version of the screen weighs 16 kg – in the complete tube it can be carried by one person.

The price of Invisibility Shield 2.0 depends on the size: $69 for the smallest version, $377 for the medium and $882 for the large. The start of sales of the unusual accessory is scheduled for December 2024.
