As the Google Pixel 8a presentation date approaches, more and more details about the future smartphone appear online. Another insider report published by the FoneArena portal contains detailed information about the technical characteristics of the gadget.
According to reports, Google Pixel 8a will have a 6.1-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of up to 1400 nits. The smartphone will be powered by a Tensor G3 processor with a Titan M2 security chip. In addition, the gadget is credited with memory configurations of 8/128 GB and 8/256 GB.
The dual rear camera of the smartphone will presumably include a main 64-megapixel IMX787 module with OIS and an ultra-wide IMX712 with a resolution of 13 megapixels and a viewing angle of 120 degrees. For selfies there will be a 13 MP front camera. Among the capabilities of both cameras, 4K video recording is mentioned (up to 60/30 fps for the rear and selfie modules, respectively).
The unofficial list of characteristics is complemented by an under-screen fingerprint scanner, case protection according to the IP67 standard, an NFC module and stereo speakers. According to rumors, the price of Google Pixel 8a at the start of sales will be approximately €595 for the version with a 128 GB drive. The presentation of the smartphone will take place at the Google I/O conference in May of this year.
