From April 3, 2024, adding and using Mir cards to Samsung Pay will be unavailable, according to the official page of the contactless payment service. The company answered the most popular questions.
Samsung Pay can no longer support Mir cards, apparently due to new sanctions imposed against Russia. What does it mean? Previously added World maps will be removed from the application. This, the company notes, will not in any way affect the ability to use the physical Mir card in stores or online. It will no longer be possible to add new Mir cards to Samsung Pay. The functionality for adding and using club cards/loyalty cards in Samsung Pay will remain unchanged.
In the Republic of Belarus, the Samsung Pay service will continue to operate without changes.
