New insider images of the iPhone 17 Pro have surfaced online, showing a design that noticeably differs from the current model. These renders are particularly interesting as they contradict previous leaks, which suggested a horizontal arrangement of lenses on the back of the upcoming device.
According to Jon Prosser, author of the FrontPageTech YouTube channel, images featuring a horizontal camera layout are purely speculative, and Apple will not implement such a design. He claims it is technically impossible, as a smartphone with that layout would lack sufficient space for the Face ID sensor and front camera.
The tech blogger also stated that he has already seen the device (or its prototype). Allegedly, it looks exactly like the renders he presented—featuring the same triangular camera arrangement, but this time with a wide decorative base, reminiscent of POCO devices.
However, Prosser admitted that, in theory, the lenses could be arranged in a row—but only if they were placed below the Face ID sensor and front camera module. That said, given the blogger’s controversial reputation, it is still too early to draw final conclusions.
