Electric Airmobile Alef Model A Completes Test Flight [VIDEO]

Must Read

American company Alef Aeronautics conducted a test flight of the electric vertical takeoff airmobile Alef Model A on public roads in California.

Alef Aeronautics has released a video of an air car taking off vertically from a public road in California, flying over another vehicle. The road was closed off for safety during the demonstration.

The Model A has been in development for about a decade, and it wasn’t until 2022 that the company unveiled a prototype capable of traveling up to 190 miles on land and 108 miles in the air on a single charge. Less than a year later, the Model A received certification from the US Federal Aviation Administration, becoming the first vehicle of its kind to receive such status. The necessary components are being supplied by PUCARA Aero and MYC, manufacturers of aircraft parts for Boeing and Airbus.

Model A

The company has already received 3,300 pre-orders for the Model A. The vehicle starts at $300,000. Production is scheduled to begin this year. Alef is also working on a second flying car called the Model Z.
