Kovid positive patients were included in the study of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. These patients included those who were admitted to the hospital from April 2020 to October 2020. This study, based on a period of 6 months, revealed that A blood group, B blood group and Rh positive (RH+) people are at higher risk of corona infection.

Which blood group is more at risk of corona

Actually, the ABO and Rh blood groups were linked together. It was found in the study that there is a frequency of corona in different blood groups. In this, the frequency of A blood group is 29.93 percent. The frequency of B blood group was 41.8%, O blood group was 21.19% and AB blood group was 7.89%.

Rh positive more susceptible to Covid

In the report published in the research paper Frontiers in Cellular and Infection Microbiology, it was told that this study has been done by the research department of Blood Transfusion Medicine of the hospital. In which the Rh factor which is a protein can be on the surface of the cells of the red blood cells. People whose blood is found in this, their blood is called Rh positive. People who do not have Rh factor in their blood are called Rh negative.

It was found that people who have blood group A and B or those who are Rh positive are more susceptible to Covid infection. On the other hand, people who do not have Rh elements, the risk of corona is less in them.

Men are at higher risk of infection

Research also found that men with B blood group have a higher risk of Kovid 19 than women. At the same time, the risk of infection is also high in people aged 60 years with AB blood group.
