Dr. Ahmed says that cervical cancer spreads due to HPV virus. HPV virus is quite common around the world. There are about 100 types of it. Some of these spread cancer. Symptoms of cervical cancer appear very late. Because of this, most of the cases are reported in the advanced stage. There are total five stages of cervical cancer. In this, the first stage is called stage 0, in which precancerous cells are present in the body. After this, in other stages, cancer cells start growing in the uterus and lymph nodes of the woman. After this, in stage 2 and 3, this cancer spreads in the urine tract. In stage four, cancer starts spreading to the liver, bones and other parts. It is very challenging to treat in this stage.

Women who have low immunity and who have HIV or any other dangerous disease, they are more at risk of cervical cancer.

This is how treatment happens

Surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy are done for the treatment of cervical cancer. In surgery, the cancerous tumor is removed. Cancer cells are destroyed by using high-energy X-ray beams in radiation therapy. At the same time, in chemotherapy, medicines are given to kill cancer cells.
