Viral News: A shark of 17 feet has disappeared in the sea. Two years ago a research team caught it. But for the last few days its whereabouts are not known. A tracking device was fitted in the shark. This shark was caught by the team of Ocearch during the Nova Scotia campaign in the year 2020. It was the biggest shark ever, so it was named Nukumi in honor of the local people here.
Ocearch’s team was studying to collect more information about sharks. So after catching it, the team installed a tracking device on it to monitor its movements for the next five years.

Osearch CEO Chris Fischer told the Daily Star: ‘We don’t know what happened to Nukumi. Something happened and its tags were damaged or mutilated. During this she was in the middle of the Atlantic. We believe that he is fine because we got some mild signals from his tag after some time, but at the moment nothing can be said for sure.
Shock to the research team
Nukumi was first caught off the coast of Nova Scotia. The team collected data from Nukumi for 21 different research projects. This includes an ultrasound, taking samples of bacteria from her teeth and using stool samples to learn more about her diet. The team also took blood, muscle and skin samples. Researchers also installed several tags to track the shark’s whereabouts and plan to monitor it over the next five years. However, these tags stopped providing information last summer.
